Hey people! My name is Javits, known to those who went to Evo 2K9 in Las Vegas (Room 1676, Rio Hotel, Ipanema Tower!!) as the Don King of Street Fighter. Matches that went down in my hotel room at Evo include Daigo -vs- Arturo Sanchez, Andre Lambert -vs- Combofiend, LI Joe -vs- Shady K, and many more (Shoutouts to ruiN from Vegas for helping me create some hype too). I also helped set up the Daigo money matches that happened after Season's Beatings 4 in Columbus, Ohio (Thanks to Issei Suzuki for translating for us with Daigo, it was so much fun). The reason they gave me that nickname is because I'm all about building the hype in order to set up the best grudge matches, rivalry matches, money matches, and exhibition matches for the community's entertainment.

Tournaments are great but I find the true excitement in watching the matches that the people actually wants to see. How many times have you watched a tournament stream and wished for your favorite 2 (or more) players to duke it out in a set of really good matches but due to the brackets it just never happens? Well I say, forget about the brackets, forget about the politics, forget about the tournament formats, just forget about the RULES! If you want to see to people duke it out in a set just find a way to make it happen! Put money up, instigate, talk some trash, keep it friendly, keep it feisty, all of the above... WHATEVER! Just make it happen because to me the rivalries and the focus on the competitive drive in fighting games is what makes fighting games enjoyable and makes the players in the community want to step it up to the next level.

Look at the tournament GodsGarden ( http://godsgarden.jp/pc/ ), Bar Fights 2 ( http://streetfighterbarfights.com/ ) presented by Gootecks ( http://www.gootecks.com ), or the GameStop Nationals World Exhibition with Poongko, Justin Wong ( http://jwonggg.com ), Iyo, and Daigo. That's where the hype is! That is what the people want to see! The players that participated in the Japanese tournament, GodsGarden, hosted by KSK, were selected based on an online vote on who were the top players everyone would want to see in one tournament. The players included Mago, Daigo, Uryo, Shiro, Akimo, Tokido, Nemo (damn that's a lot of O's), TKD, Ojisan Boy, Tetsu, Kyabetsu, Momochi, Kindevu, Nuki, Itabashi Zangief, Mahoshojo Zangitan and many more of the best heavy hitters from Japan. With that line-up you KNOW there was only going to be sick matches, and as expected, the tournament delivered. With Bar Fights 2 presented by Gootecks, although in the end result the East Coast team annihilated the West Coast team, those were some of those most exciting matches the community has ever seen.

Now with that said, there will be polls here on FADC with many of the community's popular players and you, the community, will request the matches you want to see! If the response is good enough, this can grow and can become a tournament similar to God's Garden with an american twist of course. Like I know many people would like to see Yeb -vs- Jibbo because they are the 2 best Gen players in America. One is from the east coast, one is from the west coast. It's almost perfect! Some may say mirror matches don't mean anything but I personally think if you play a character, you should know every matchup, including your mirror match. Remember, there can only be one winner, will Jibbo's mixups overwhelm Yeb? Or will Yeb's execution be the deciding factor in this match? It could be a very exciting match. That is just an example of course but if there are matches you would like to see! Just request them!  Make it happen!

Tekken 6

FightingGM -vs- Rip (Will Rip put his money where his mouth is?), Fab -vs- Mr. Naps (Fab is better than ever, will it be enough to take down Mr. Naps?), Azee -vs- Chet Chetty (Who's the real Pakistani champ?)

Street Fighter 4

Jibbo -vs- Yeb (Battle for Gen of America), Ricky Ortiz -vs- Marn, Andre Lambert -vs- Ed Ma, John Choi -vs- Alex Valle (this never gets old, but SF4 is a new game, who's the real OG best?), Eduardo Perez -vs- Long Island Joe (the rematch.. Eduardo wants to run it back!), fLoE -vs- Justin Wong ( Justin considers fLoE his hardest challenge in the states, will fLoE break the curse of fLoKe? )

So lets... BRING ON THE HYPE!
